Brow Power: Eyebrow Waxing in New Orleans

Whenever I am feeling sort of… blah and my face is definitely looking sort of blah, my quick fix is an eyebrow wax. I am a firm believer in the power of a good eyebrow wax. Nothing pulls your face and your mood together like perfectly shaped brows. Brightening your eyes and spirits, a successful eyebrow wax is an affordable beauty move that will definitely pay for itself. Perfectly groomed eyebrows might not be everyone’s top beauty priority but once you get waxed and as a result showered with compliments, they will probably jump to the top of the list. Here are five spots you should check out!

 1. Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta

lAlthough Benefit is located at the Ulta in Harahan, it is certainly worth the drive. This San Francisco based company is my all-time favorite and I’ll track down a location any major city I visit. Their $20 wax is quick and painless. Whether you are looking for a brow reshaping or just a clean up, their talented professionals will know what to do. They will also offer to cover up the post-wax redness with some of their products and fill in your brows. I would also highly recommend their make-up products. I’ve been using their palettes since high school and always carry one in my purse. Located at 1126 South Clearview Pkwy, next to the DSW. Or you can call (504) 731-6628 to make an appointment.

2. Waxing the City

WTC

Located on Magazine Street, Waxing the City is the perfect place to get your brows done between lunch and shopping. Not only is their salon beautiful and very clean, you get 50% off your first visit so there’s really no reason not to go! The salon stays open until 8pm so you could even schedule an appointment for after work. They use hard wax which many consider to be gentler on the skin resulting in a pain free experience. Tips are not accepted so that makes the $21 price tag a definite steal. The service is great and you’ll even receive a handwritten thank you note from your waxer.

3. WAX

She works by appointment only so make sure to give her a call before you have her work magic on your brows.
